We offer Canine Good Citizen® classes and certification. Wondering what CGC is all about? At AnnaBelle's, we think it's a great way to teach responsible dog ownership, to help build the relationship between owner and dog, and help to improve the image of our beloved canine citizens.

As explained by the American Kennel Club, "CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. * * * In a little over one decade, the Canine Good Citizen Program has begun to have an extremely positive impact in many of our communities. This is a program that can help us assure that the dogs we love will always be welcomed and well-respected members of our communities."

Clicker Training is a training method that uses a clicker to make a sudden sharp “click” sound that indicates to a dog that he has done something to earn a food reward. This “click” has been shown to produce very rapid learning, long retention, and emotional surges/positive emotions in dogs.  It is hypothesized that the “click” is processed by the central nervous system faster than any spoken word can be.  Find out how fast your dog can learn with one of these great Clicker Classes!

Without a doubt, your dog will love the super fun sport of Nose Work! As explained by the National Association of Canine Scent Work, "K9 Nose Work is the fun search and scenting activity that virtually all dogs and their people can enjoy. It starts with getting your dog excited about using his nose to seek out a favorite toy or treat reward hidden in one of several boxes. As your dog grows more confident with his nose, the game expands to entire rooms, exterior areas, and vehicles. Advanced K9 Nose Work focuses on increasing your dog's scent discrimination skills, adding special target odors to the search, and much more!"

At AnnaBelle's, our nose work classes are taught by Dawn Archer Pizzoferrato, ABCDT.

Nose Work is great for all dogs, regardless of size, age, temperament, breed, or physical ability!
