PetSaver™ First Aid

Our training has helped save the lives of thousands of pets that have been in emergency situations with their guardian or Pet Care Professional. This training is designed both for pet parents and pet professionals, including groomers, kennel staff, pet sitters, and day care providers. Our instructor is Sheila Laing.

A little about Sheila

Sheila Laing became a certified Pet First Aid Instructor in 2006. She received her instructor’s training under the direction of Thom Somes, owner and founder of Pet Tech PetSaver™ Program. Sheila has a passion for companion animals and a mission to help pet owners prepare for emergency situations involving their pets.

Let’s face it, our pets are part of our families. Being prepared can mean saving a life. According to the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), 1 out of 4 additional pets would survive emergencies, if just one pet first aid technique was applied before getting emergency veterinary care. That surviving pet could be your furry family member. Sheila's hands-on approach will make your experience a successful one!

Sheila is also massage therapist and is currently working on her pet massage therapy certification.

PetSaver CPR & Rescue Breathing

Get started with our 2 hour CPR & Rescue Breathing course - only $35! If you decide to take the full PetSaver™ course, you’ll receive a $35 credit! The full 8-hour course will also prepare you for the following: Primary Pet Assessment, Muzzling & Restraining, Choking Management, Assessing Vitals, Seizures, Shock, Bleeding Protocols, Poisoning, Fractures, Bites & Stings, Cold and Heat injuries, and Snout to Tail Assessment in injury and in wellness! Get started with the 2 hour CPR/Rescue Breathing course: Sat. 1/21 1-3 pm; Sat. 2/18 1-3 pm; Sun. 3/18 1-3 pm.

PetSaver First Aid

The PetSaver™ Program is an eight hour course that will cover a number of valuable first aid skills and information to help keep your pets happy and healthy. Training includes: CPR, Rescue Breathing, Muzzling & Restraining, Choking Management, Primary Assessment, Assessing Vitals, Seizures, Cold and Heat injuries, Snout to Tail Assessment and more! This court includes lecture and hands-on practice. Each participant will get the opportunity to practice their skills in class and will receive our PetSaver™ handbook and certificate on successful completion of the program. You can get certified in just two days! Instructor: Sheila Laing. 2 day class: $99. Sat. 4/14 11am-3pm & Sun. 4/15 12-4pm.
